Rachel Davis, LCSW-C

Rachel Davis, LCSW-C I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Supervisor (LCSW-C). I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University in Florida. Additionally, I served on the Board of Directors for the Mental Health Association.

My passion lies in helping children, adolescents and adults navigate today’s world and the stressors therein to live a healthy life, both mentally and physically. In my twenty years experience, including ten years as a therapist, I have guided and supported children, adolescents and adults to learn and implement new ways to manage and cope with their significant emotions, nurture their strengths and help them navigate new ways to overcome challenges. One of my core beliefs in working with clients is meeting them where they are and to help foster resiliency and face their current challenges. My practice includes helping those who suffer from Anxiety, Depression, ADHD and mood disorders, as well as low self esteem, peer difficulties, family conflict and trauma. I incorporate a collaborative approach with the client and their family to develop a tangible therapeutic relationship. I believe an implementation of various treatment interventions such as CBT, psychodynamic counseling and strength-based approaches, as well as other modules, are tools to help clients achieve their individual treatment goals and improve their overall well being.

I grew up in Maryland and attended Montgomery County public schools. Having worked in Montgomery County throughout my career, I am attuned to the pressures that the young population is experiencing. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being physically active and watching my teenage son play baseball.
