Lindsay Camhe, Health & Wellness Coach
Asking for help is a big step, working to overcome your battles is a challenging rollercoaster, but finding the power within you to learn to love and accept who you are is the absolute greatest gift you can give yourself.
Hi, I’m Lindsay and I am a Certified Health and Wellness Coach with expertise in eating disorder recovery. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I have a Certificate in Health & Wellness Coaching from the Institute for Transformational Leadership at Georgetown University, which is an Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and the International Coach Federation (ICF).
My passion lies in helping young people who are struggling with body image issues, unhealthy relationships with food, and overcoming obsessive negative thoughts. When I was sixteen years old I suffered from an extreme battle with Anorexia Nervosa and after trying to conquer the battle on my own I was ready to accept the support I needed to get better. I learned how to reprogram my mind and re-teach myself how to be comfortable with food. It was then that I decided, when I get myself healthy, I want to help others who are facing these same demons. I take an empathetic and collaborative approach and meet my clients, their families, and their teams where they are. I help my clients connect the dots to where they are to where they want to be. I provide a safe environment and work with my clients to develop new thought patterns and leave behind anything that does not serve them.
After living in Santa Monica, CA for 6 years, my husband and our family moved back to my hometown of Potomac to be surrounded by family. I am now an incredibly proud mom of a nine-year-old son, a six-year-old daughter, and 2 adorable Golden Retrievers.
I love going on hikes with my pups, watching my kids play sports, and traveling.
I look forward to partnering with you and holding your hand through this tough journey.
